Why is my neon tetra swiming wierd like 1 rudder is stuck ?

is it about ready to die ? it's been siming like that for the past 4-7 days.

  1. It depends on how long you've had him. He might just be sick, and get better, or, sadly, he might die. Good luck! ^_^ I hope he's ok!


  2. Sounds like he may have been injured by another fish.   Have you observed him eating at all?  If he has lost a fin or had it partially eaten off, he will probably not survive.  

  3. Neon Tetras are usually the smallest of the fish in an aquarium.  They are taken advantage of whenever the feeding patterns change in a tank. His fin could have easily been bitten off by a larger fish whenever it was hungry.  Try feeding your fish a pinch or two more during meals and see if that helps.


  4. How do you mean, like 1 rudder is stuck?  My vet has a fishtank, and one of her glowlight tetras dances in a circle all day long, just bouncing around  going nowhere.  We don't know what happened, but none of the other fish are showing symptoms, so we think he may have just injured himself and healed wrong.  He eats fine and is breathing and looking normal, he just swims vertically in a circle... is this what your fish is doing, or is it different?
