My nephew just turned 2 yesterday. For the last week he won't keep his clothes on at night and he takes his diaper off and sleeps in the nude. One night my SIL found him in his room sleeping on top of a big bear straddling it butt naked. She is getting frustrated. As soon as she puts him to bed he starts taking them off. Last night he did it and she just let him go. He slept in his diaper. After she fought with him to keep it on. He also will roll over on the changing table and will hump it. Why is he doing this? I have never seen a child do this before.

  1. At 2 years old your nephew has no control over his life.

    He can't pick his clothes.

He can't pick when he goes to bed or gets up.

He can't tell his mom what he wants for meals.

He can't go out with friends or even pick what shows he wants to watch.

He can't even do things like go to the bathroom or bath by himself.

One thing he CAN do.  He can strip!  And when he does everyone has strange reactions.  It's a wonderful show!  Strip, they freak, strip, they freak, strip, they freak... heh.  Lots of fun!

  2. he is finding himself..this is normal for a boy his age..

  3. When I read your question I couldn't help but laugh.  My six month old is already starting to try to take off his clothes.  He gets his onesie unsnaped, but if he's ever just in his diaper to any time he already learned how to take it off.  I read that boys in particular love to touch and feel new things so why not use their whole body.  I don't know, I know grown men that prefer to go around in the buff, I think its a guy thing.

  4. This is not that unusual.  He just enjoys being naked!  He'll get past it.  Just keep clean up wipes around!

  5. Somebody needs to be potty trained. as for the need to be naked, alot of babies do this, nothing to worry about. LOL in a few months that will be me, o god
