Question:

Why is my period so late?

I am 16 days late for my period. I just used a Clear Blue test this morning and got a negative. I have been to the doctor for a urine test last week and it was negative. So I'm probably not pregnant... She wants to test for thyroid problems. Also, I just got off birth control pills about 2 1/2 months ago. Could this be it? I'm just worried.... Anyone have an opinions?

  1. You're preggo!

  2. It most likely is because of your stopping the use of birth control. you might also be very tensed. tension can irragulate your periods.  Also I would do a full body check up.  there might be something wrong. but i think your use of pills must be the main cause.  Try to relax and stop worrying about your missed period.

  3. yeah, see a doctor.

  4. You being stressed about it might be the cause of you not getting your period also with your hormon changes from you going off the pill could cause your body to think it is pregnant .

  5. well im not female so ill address this problem as thourally as i can:

If your v****a is roughly the size of home plate at yankee stadium:

Buy some bayer back and body.

  6. If you are underweight, it usually takes longer for your period to snap back into action.

I tell every lady I know not to take birth control until the girls taking them now are in their mid 30's.. Because no one knows the long term effects of them, I wouldn't be surprised if your period just stopped.

  7. do you work out a lot? that could be it. i once didn't have my period for 3 months because i was constantly eating right and working out.

  8. Because you touch yourself at night.

  9. If you've done pregnancy tests and your not pregnant then thats not likely to be it. The birth control pills probably do have something to do with it... but put these into mind:

Are you suffering from anorexia, bulmia or obesity? They can cause you to skip your periods.

  10. Getting off birth control will cause your body sometimes to react. It could be from the birth control. But it could be from stress. Don't worry until you get your test results. You may be worried for no reason. It will work out.

  11. Stress can cause disturbance in the period cycle which is common. Getting of the birth control pills defiantly effects the period cycle. Because your body was used to external hormones. Check the medication review of your pills and ask your pharmacist.

  12. There could be many answers to your question. The one that will turn out to be correct is the one which you choose to believe.

It could be absolutely nothing, the easiest way to make it nothing is to TOTALLY distract your thoughts from it, after a short while you may look back and remember that time you thought that something was wrong with you.

  13. It may be because you are stressed, ive missed a period because i was overly stressed out with school work, parents, activities, work, and friends.

    but i dont really know

    I hope your healthy!

  14. you're probably just stressing about it to much.
