  1. Sorry to tell you, but mollies cannot be housed in the same tank as goldfish. Mollies are tropical fish and require temperatures around 78-80 degrees F, and goldfish like colder temperatures around 71-75 degrees F.

If you do not have a heater, your mollies may be cranky and that may be the reason they are nipping at your goldfish. If you DO have a heater, your goldfish are probably uncomfortable and too slow to swim away from the mollies.

If you want your fish to live as long as they should, you need to house them seperately!

    Hope this helps, good luck!

  2. If you were called pot belly molly wouldn't you be a bit snippy?

  3. because there not compatable

    mollys are tropical

    goldfish are coldwater

  4. Fishes bite each other all the time. It's really strange. They mainly always go for the goldfish too. Try putting them in two separate tanks. Or maybe those kinds just don't get along? Look it up!

  5. mollies are kind of evil. they might even kill your goldfish

  6. They will eat that fish alive!  Seperate them or say bye bye.
