  1. we have 2 and I read it could be a sign of warning...or agitation or bordeom.

Sometimes ours does it if they want to be left alone.

Maybe give him some toys or take him out on a bunny leash to run...good luck

  2. shes trying to play the role of thumper in bambi the musical

  3. It is not happy and trying to communicate with a fellow rabbit. Ours did that. until we got a partner for him.She is lonely. Rabbits communicate

in a different way. With no sound that they make. They have a whole body language thing. When you see two together you see it , it is very discreet though

  4. I think you should take it to the Vet... It might cost you quite a bit though...

Then again... Rabbit Stew is great in Winter!

  5. she thinks she is thumper!!!!!!! LOL

  6. i used to have a lot of rabbits, they thump their leg when they see something dangerous, to warn the other rabbits. could be a dog, cat, or anything thats freakin her out. just wait a while and shell chill out

  7. It's a warning, or she is upset .  She's likely warning you that she's perceiving something as a threat.  It could be another pet, could be that you moved the furniture, you may never know what's bugging her.  Rabbits think some pretty strange stuff is a threat to them.  Thumping is what rabbits do in the wild to alert other rabbits in the warren to possible danger.

  8. I have 5 rabbits and they thump their hind legs when they are stressed or upset about something. Try putting a toy in her crate for her to play with. I put the plastic peanut butter or mayonnaise jar lids, or a tuna can without sharp edges in the crates for them to play with. This usually does the trick. Also, if you have a male rabbit they will sometimes thump when they want s*x from a female. Hope this helps!

  9. One of my rabbits did that whenever she wanted attention.  She would also do it when she was happy and the center of attention. So I wouldn't worry too much about her thumping her hind leg.

  10. Something could be possibly irritating it or it may want exercise. My guess anyway...
