Why is my rat doing this?

My rat seems to urinate/pee allot when we let her out to play. She is 1 years old and is a black hooded, female. One of my rats died recently and so it had been a few weeks since we got a new one. We now have a rat.

Does anyone know why she is doing this and how can I stop her, a she urinates on my couch and other things I prefer her not to pee on.

My rat would do the same thing. IT is a territorial thing.

My little bugger :O) would run on top of me and do a squirt, then run off again. Just telling me who is boss hahaha.

Overtime, i think it will stop. But at the moment, i dont think there is anything that you can do

it's just like a dog does, she's marking her territory. my female rat used to do that but nowsince she died i got a male and is much better, no more cleaning up rat pee all over the place!
