I have an automatic icemaker. Could it be that the icemaker hose has water deposits in it?

  1. look for something caught in the fan...  dust bunnie   piece of paper.. saran wrap etc.  If there remove it   sound should go away

  2. track down the sound, it is likely in the upper section or freezer area which means you have ice accumilating on the circulator fan, this would turn off and on when the door is opened and closed as well.

Solution, defrost your fridge, this will eliminate the ice deposit causing the noise.

  3. Sounds like mineral deposits.

  4. probley the motor tuning on and off, it sounds like a fluttery sound.
