Why is my roborovski still making nests if she ate all of her babies?

About 2 weeks ago, my roborovski gave birth (accidentally.) And she ate all of her babies, though I'm not sure why considering I haven't touched them. She's still making nests. Why?

Dwarves will mate again 24 hours after birth if you let them, so more babies may be on the way, otherwise she's just preparing for what she thinks is a litter of pups.
