Why is my running stamina worse when I am muscular?

During the school year i weight lifted alot, and i found it harder to run long distances, whereas when i stopped lifting i found it easier, coincedence?

  1. If you were lifting heavy weights, your muscles get big and slow. If you did light weights, high reps you would get cut and muscular, but not big and bulky. If you see all the long distance runners, they are all very slim and while they are muscular, are not bulky. So if your into running long distances, keep the weights low, and increase the repetitions, and you should get your stamina higher again.

    but its all about nutrition..

    ur diet and calorie intake matter more when it comes to running.

    so watch that.
