Why is my skin so shiny after using a cleanser and oxy pads for my acne? ?

i have acne in the T zone im thinking that im not using a strong enough approach to my acne the oxy pad is only 0.5% salicylic acid should try something with more or is it ok to have shiny skin after cleansing skin with these products.

Your skin is shiny because you're stripping the oils away. Notice if you put lotion on your skin, the shine will dissipate- at least initially.

Don't over-cleanse your skin when you have acne, this will just overstimulate your oil glands and you'll find yourself breaking out more than ever!

The best approach for mild acne and oily T-Zone is a mild cleanser (like Cetaphil) used twice a day and blotting papers- Clean and Clear makes a great, inexpensive package of blotting papers that work great!

It does strip your skin but also leaves a deposit of some type of moisturizer or oil or whatever to protect from being super drying.  But yes, it's okay.  I found a fabulous 'zit cream' called Zap Zyte (Zyp Zyt or CLEAR ZYT something like that) $1 at the Dollar General Stores & it works SUPER!  I began to slather it on quite generously instead of just dabbing a little where I had a problem--heard about it from someone who was keeping a 'daily acne blog' and that method made a difference for him and me TOO.

Shiny skin from that product will vary from person to person. Very cool that you pin pointed salicylic acid.  I just bought a book and read how important the various ingredients in the products do the work and that some products don't even have the right ingredients.

hey your not alone, after I cleane, tone and moisterize my face is super shiny. I dont know why, but my acne is better so its worth it I guess. Atleast your cleaning and taking care of your face!! ( If you find that your face is super oily in the day like mine then you should get this product I have, its a cover-up AND powder combined its Revlon One Step. but its NOT oil based and on the back it says it does NOT clog pores or irritate acne. If you wash it off properly then what you have will be covered really well. )
