Why is my snake still hungry?

i just got a baby corn snake and after i fed it for the first time I got it, it kept looking for more. So I fed it another pinky, and the same thing happened . I don't want to feed it more than it needs to be fed. Help!

  1. Don't keep feeding him/her!  Instinctually they will eat as much as they can because that is the best route for survival since they won't know where their next meal will be coming from.

    Feed food around the size of the width of the snake and wait to feed him or her until its next feeding date.


  2. it's tough to say. Most of my snakes will go in their hide after a meal. If your corn is roaming around the tank continually after a feed, it could still be hungry. Is the size of the food appropriate for it? Could it be ready for a fuzzy or a hopper? How big is your corn snake, this can help w/ the answer. very young snakes typically are fed every 4 to 5 days. Just feed an appropriate sized meal on that schedule and it should be fine.  

  3. ask the person that you bought him from how much he/she fed him and feed it that much or because it thinks since it gives me food it will give me more food!!! so it might not even be hungry...
