  1. water in the tyres - caused by leaky valves....

water hits tyre walls as tyres spin causing sterring to shake

  2. I have the same problem with our 2002 Taurus and am tired of spending money. Latest cost was about 1000dollars,had rotors, brakes, alignment, fluids, some electric components replaced.

I am convinced that this should be a recall situation-just do a search-many Taurus owners who have shaky cars.

My car shakes violently upon acceleration and one time our accelerator even fell off, the gear was worn out.

If anyone has a real solution let us owners know-my vehicle has been a source of income for my Ford service  center and now my new repair shop.

    It has 80k on it.

  3. Even if you had your tires rotated you could have a knot on one of your tires. One small knot will cause your car sterring wheel to shake. I have had to happen to me. I would have this checked out first. If not fixed soon your alignment will be shot.

  4. Have the tires been balanced as well and also have you looked to see if the tires have any separation or bulges.

  5. wheels need balancing?

  6. When they did your brakes, did they put new rotors on, or did they just turn them??

  7. struts maybe?

  8. Possibly wishbones/suspension arms.

  9. the only time that happened to me was when the alignment was off.. perhaps the mechanic did a poor job or youve knocked off the alignment again.

  10. were the tires balanced? tires being out of balance will cause this alignment will usually not. it could also be bad tie rod ends. good luck

  11. Need more info, When and how is it shaking.  Turning, Stopping, All the time, get worse when you, etc.

The list of what can go wrong in FWD cars is way to long to cover all the possibilities.

Or maybe it's just afraid of how you drive

  12. Tires balanced?

    Rims bent?

Sometimes immediately after rotation they will shake or pull to one side for awhile but this should go away within a couple of thousand miles.
