Why is my swamp cooler leaking when turn off?

waking up n the morning there is a puddle of water under my vent . (i have central cooling)....

  1. Too much water inside the unit. Float must be stuck at some point.


  2. Do you have a swamp cooler, (evaporative cooler)? or central air conditioning? If you actually have a swamp cooler, it's 1 of 3 things.

    1: You have a leak somewhere in the sump, 2: Your float is not adjusted properly allowing the sump to overfill and therefore overflow.

    3: One or more of the side vent may be misaligned and not properly seated which would allow water to run down the outside of the cooler.
