  1. You don't need a telescope to see the meteor shower---

all astronomical telescope present an upside down image-- to turn it right side up requires more glass lens in the optical path-- up -- down does not exist in space.

  2. there is no up and down in space so it won't make a difference....

  3. can u see the shower with binoculars..where is it???

  4. Yeah, you'll need another mirror or lens to correct it. Alternatively, turn your entire telescope upside down.

  5. Have you tried standing on your  head ?  :-)

  6. This is normal for an astronomy telescope. Because there is reallly no direction in space, it doesn't matter if you see things upside down. My telescope shows imaged up-side down, but it really doesn't matter and there is no need to fix it.

  7. Use binoculars or naked eye for the Perseids.

It's a 'wide field' kind of thing.

They'll be coming from a large area of sky and moving fast.

You won't be able to find or track them with mounted optics.

  8. This is normal behavior for an astronomical telescope. There is no right-side-up in the sky, and turning the image around adds cost and reduces optical clarity. You can buy correct image finders and image-erecting diagonals, if you want, though.

However, a telescope is not of much use in watching a meteor shower. The meteors happen all over the sky, and the chance of catching one in the narrow view of your telescope is slim. Meteor observation is generally done with the naked eye.

  9. I watch them just with my bare eyes.  I am in southern arizona and have warm nights, no bugs.  I have seen a few individual beauties already.  They travelled through arcs of 15-25 degrees (just guessing of course) lasted about 1 to 3 seconds.(also guessing)
