Why is my text messaging is really delayed?

i have a samsung D807 with at&t. when sending text messages, there is about an hour delay while receiving them, and when the recipient is receiving the ones i send. please help!

That happens. It's usually something with the phone company. I have Telus and it does that.

Try standing outside.  There is nothing you can really do but wait.  If the towers are getting an abnormal amount of signals then it takes longer or the message gets lost.  Call the phone company.  Walking around outside usually works for me though.

Check your reception?

That is mostly the cause of delay.  You aren't in the area.

Does it do it everywhere you are?  Or just in one place?

You can always try calling AT&T.  Maybe it's your phone.  They can probably fix it or give you a new phone.

Maybe it is because the text message got traffic on network,because of huge number of people who are texting especially in occasion like Christmas, or maybe the network itself have a problem.

That happens to me all the time too.  I called up my cell phone company and they said there was nothing they could do.  It's just a glitch in the system.
