Question:

Why is my tippmann A-5 suddenly making a ping noise whenever i fire it?

It never used to and it still makes the ping sound when i don't have the tank attached......?!?!

  1. I don't think it's much to worry about. Maybe you could try lubricating the bolt? Clean your chamber and everything. I remember my old tippman 98 custom made a pingy noise but i liked the sound.


  2. Chances are it's your bolt. Open the a-5 up and lube it. It isnt anything very important though.

    All your gun is trying to tell you is to lube the bolt since it dragging a little bit. Overall, its nothing to be worried about. Like the person said above me, all it does is make a sound. It doesnt effect the gun's performance.

    My friend had an X-7 that had the same problem, but he didnt do anything about it. It works fine.

    If it really is bothering you, you can bring it into a paintball shop, or like I said before, open it up and lube the bolt. (I wouldnt recommend opening it up unless you know what you're doing)
