Why is my v****a itchy?

I've had some itching near the opening of my v****a, I just got over my period and i use tampons. I've had very little discharge, and it's not curd-like. It's been bothering me recently. I haven't told my mom yet, but i'm kind of scared to. I'm afraid it's some sort of STD. Even though my boyfriend was on vacation (for six days when it came around) when is started. I haven't had s*x. I workout and stay as healthy as i can.

What could it be?

  1. the best hing to do is call a doctor and have you thing check up maybe you know what you doing but not you boyfriend when he was away mens are like animal that they do thing with out thinking.i hope i dont star a fight.good luck

  2. if u have recently shaven it is probably from that

    or a yeast infection

    or  std

  3. It could be a yeast infection even though you don't have thick discharge.  It could also be a little irritation from the tampons that is healing up.  It could be an STD - HPV has been known to cause intense itching that won't go away even when it doesn't cause any warts.  If you and your boyfriend have had any genital-to-genital contact you could have contracted HPV.

However, it's most likely to be a yeast infection.  You can try some over the counter yeast infection treatment.  If that doesn't take care of it, see a doctor about it.  If it's HPV causing the itching, usually the itchy area can be treated and then the itch will be cured!  :)

  4. There may be a yeast infection or other disease process at work.  See a doctor when convenient.

  5. Wash the itchy area in the shower with unscented soap. Watch the area for a couple days. If it gets better there is nothing to worry about. If after a couple days it is still itchy then go to your doctor. Most of the time it goes away by washing.

  6. It cant be a STD, but you need to be opened with your mother about your problem since she is older she might be able to help you a bit more then answer.yahoo.com, but explain that you have not done nothing with your boyfriend. ^^ it might be scary but she wont bite your head off trust me, but it can be a yeast infection.

  7. it's not a STD, hint hint SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED disease

BTW answers from Y!answers aren't going to be as helpful... go see a doctor
