Why is my website not showing up on search engines?

I submitted the website to 3 major search engines about 4 months ago. And I still cannot find my website doing keyword searches no matter how far I dig. What do I have to do to make my website show up on these search engines? I am paying a fee for this website and it won't even show up in search engines!

There are many sites that will tell you what to put in the HTML metadata to get it to the right categories. Another important element is that you need links on other sites. The more links, the higher in the list you go. Go to every site that is in your industry and exchange links.
