Question:

Why is my windshield spotty and foggy?

I have an 07 Toyota Corolla. In the mornings (its always mornings) the windshield is spotty and foggy. It is almost like raindrops have stained the windshield. I can use the windshield wipers and it clears it but but as I drive it gets worse again. I have to turn on my windshield wipers to keep wiping it off so I can see. It isn't on rainy or foggy days either. It can be a bright sunny day. After about 10 am it goes away and won;t be back until the next morning. What is this and how can I get rid of it? I'm sure I look like a moron driving on a beautiful sunny morning with my wipers on.

  1. give your car a good car wash..if it does not work contact toyota..

  2. Try turning on the defogger, if that don't work...I don't know maybe leave a towel over the windshield at night

  3. This has more to do with where you live (climate, pollution etc)  than your car. But there are some products  (I know of one called RAINEX) that you apply to your windshield.. its like a really thin film of gel that should get rid of this problem...

  4. it sounds like morning dew...and your wipers need to be changed...try also going to a car wash on a regular basis.

  5. condensation. dont worry about it. its just a car

  6. It can be any thing But 99% I feel it will be that u are using the car air conditioner and air duct is open towards the windshield. This results in fogging outside the windscreen.

Let me know your problem is solved ,otherwise I will give u more points to solve it.

  7. 1. The morning weather.

    2. Something is leaking and after awhile stops because the engine warms up.

    3. Talk with Toyota.
