Why is my xbox live lagging ?

Question

i havent really experianced much problem with my computer, youtube and other websites are working fine...but when i play my xbox all i do is lag

it has not done this before, i have a good internet connection

my xbox is connected by an ethernet cable from my router...it has never been a problem

i have reset my router numerous times

i have vista and sometimes it says multiple networks...one public and one private...i dont understand what is going on

help

please reply or add my xbox live

This used to happen to me and the only thing that I found to fix it was to run directly through the modem.

Ive had this same problem

Make sure just your xbox is turned on that uses the internet connection you do when ur playing or at least only your xbox is connected to the internet. For example turn off any computers because this may cause it to lag.

its happened to a lot of people.all you need to do is shut down all your computers on in your house then sing off of live and turn off your 360.sorry if it doesnt work i dont know what eolse to tell you
