  1. like a baby's skin is smoother and softer than an adult its the same way with kittens and cats and most other baby animals.

  2. Just like a person's hair changing with the years.  I am not sure what a MainCoon cat is, but cats age and their fur changes.  My cat is a regular alley cat that never goes outside but her fur is thicker and fuller than when she was younger.

  3. well, if your younger cat is like a kitten or young, it still has its kitten fur. they grow out of their kitten fur around 1-2 years after they are born, so ur older cat probly has its perminant fur.its like loosing teeth. or loosing your baby hair when you are first born.kitten fur is much smoother and cuddlyer than permanent fur.
