I wouldn't go that far, but it definitely cannot stand up to the Canadian side. The government spends a lot of money on the appearance of Niagara, as well as the locals who live there like that their city is revered as beautiful, and plan on keeping it that way. The view from the Canadian side is spectacular, the american side, not so much.
