Why is no one picking up Jake Delhomme?

Question

he was on pace for 43 Td's and 5 interceptions last season but now ranked 14th to 18th in fantasy drafted qb's.

i realize he was injured but all the camp info in sounding very good

People are worried about Tommy-John surgery.  It's a difficult thing to fully recover from.  He might be ok for the first part of the year, but be hurt soon after.  I'm a huge Carloina fan, and I hope beyond hope that he's ok, because the Smith-Delhomme connection is craziness!

Hey Michael,

I think it's due to two main factors.  For one, people are concerned with Delhomme being injured.  His injury is notoriously hard to recover from and for a QB to have an elbow injury is very scary.  He is one play away from being worthless on your roster.

Second, I think people have forgotten just how effective Delhomme was in his prime.  During his Superbowl run and even in later years Jake was very effective and made very few errors.

If I were you, I'd be excited about seeing Jake fall in drafts.  If you can pick him up for a bargain he could be a major steal.  Jake has a knack for putting the ball in just the right spot, and with the return of Muhammad and a healthy Smith, Jake could have a huge season if he can avoid injury.
