Why is not cricket match played on snow ? I've played recently in Gulmarg. It was a very good experience.?

Gulamrg Kashmir, is a very good place for playing cricket on snow. I've played recently & found very exciting, without even wearing any glove, jacket or protective cap from winter. I was not feeling very cold. Uncontaminated air & water are available there which is difficult to get anywhere. You will not be tired even after palaying for an hour on a glacier. Pitch can be made by pressing the glacial snow by feet . That is sufficient. Even a 10 year old child player can defeat a great cricket player there. Just have a light breakfast, eat hot soup & play. It is quite comfortable. Such cricket should be encouraged in Kashmir Valley, Patnitop, Batote, Poonch, Mendhar, Kargil, Leh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Arunachal Pradesh, darjeeling, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Chitral, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Chilas, Indus Kohistan, Swat valley, Kaghan Valley & Muree Hills as Chinese are already playing in their country for last 24 years. It will test players fitness well.

well yes playing n the snow wolud be fun.i compleatly agree with you.it would do go for their fitness.the game would be more competitive and interesting.

cricket is a summer sport not winter sport...  it'll be too slippery for the players specailly for the bowlers, batsman or for everyone for that matter...  actualy I think you're talking fib

Absolutely.This sounds like great fun...but honestly I don't see matches at a professional level happening here.As you said there is an element of unpredictability which would gel well only in friendly matches.
