  1. See the following links and it would be crystal clear that as Earth rotates, at a time one half of the Earth "sees" the Sun and it is day in that part where the other half cannot "see" the Sun and it is night there.

So the Sun never goes anywhere, it stays in its position. But since the Earth is rotating and also we are rotating with it we experience day and night.

  2. Are you serious?!?!?

  3. because sun is on the other side of the earth. so night is created in the opposite side.

  4. Because it is on the opposite side of the Earth.

  5. There is sun 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Your view of it is blocked by the earth... that's the thing you're standing on.  If you never noticed, it's really difficult to see objects that are underground.  That would seem to give you the hint that you can't see through the earth.

  6. while one hemisphere is facing the sun and having their daylight hours, the other hemisphere is on the opposite side in darkness where it is night

  7. Sun wants to sleep & it sleeps at the nighits

  8. The Sun is out there at night. The Stars are also out there in the day.

  9. There is a Sun at night, its on the othr side.

I have never heard that one before.

  10. If you could just manage to have Supermans X-ray vision you could still see it through the earth. Just look down and imagine :)

That's where you would find the stars that aren't "up" too....and the moon.

  11. There is sun at night... BUT due to darkness, you are not able to see it.

    Hope that helps...

ha ha ha ha ha... oops sorry!

  12. Sun not going anywhere but the earth gets rotate to complete 24 hours.Thats why we  get 12 daylight and 12 dark.

  13. There are many reasons.

If the sun were in the sky at night, then we wouldn't know when to go to sleep.

If the sun were in the sky at night, it really wouldn't be "night".  Then where would we be?

If the sun were in the sky at night we couldn't have fireworks, or at least they wouldn't look so cool.

If the sun were in the sky at night, we would have to change our vocabulary.  No more, "good morning", "good afternoon", "good evening", and "good night".  All we could say is "good day".  So we'd all sound like Aussies, "g'day", and drive the whole world nuts.  Come to think about it, without a "night" what is a "day"?  May all we could say is "good".  And that sounds really dumb.

In Genesis it says that God separated the day from the night, so if the sun were in the sky at night, how would we know when it was night, or what night even was?  We would really be confused.

Frankly, I think it's part of a cosmic energy conservation scheme. By turning off the sun at night, the sun will last twice as long before it uses up its nuclear fuel, turns into a red giant, and cooks the earth into a cinder.  Boy I don't want to be around when that happens!!

  14. Just ask GOD !!!!

  15. because then it wouldn't be night!

if there were two nearby stars so that it never got dark, would you call it night? so it is night because sun isn't there.

  16. there is a sun it is just so far around the earth that you cannot see it

  17. Because there is only one star in this solar system, and it can only illuminate one side of the Earth at a time. While you experience daytime, the opposite side of the world experiences night, and when it is night for you, it is day for them.
