We have two cats and one dog (welsh corgi), the cat in question was always a bit of a barbarian but yesterday she started to pee on the plastic bags containing my daughter's new school supplies (on the DINING ROOM TABLE!). She had an upper respiratory infection, thus the anti-biotics, what do I do? I really can't deal with this, I work full time and have a house to run.

  1. She may have a bladder infection (which cats often get after being sick from being dehydrated)Although I would think the anti-biotics would clear it up? I would call the vet and see what they say before bringing her in and paying for another vet visit.

  2. Have you changed litter or moved the boxes lately?  The boxes may need to be dumped, washed, & litter replaced.  Also, how many boxes do you have?  The general rule is you need 1 box for each cat.  If you have enough little boxes, nothing has changed, & they are cleaned out you may want to check back with your vet.  What your cat is doing could be a sign of a UTI.  My cat has done this a few times, each time he's had a UTI.
