  1. If you're diabetic you shouldn't drink alcoholic beverages.  They cause dehydration which can affect regulation of blood sugar.  You're already in a spot, why aggravate it?

It's like saying "when I stick this pencil through my hand it hurts, should I use a knife instead?"

  2. If you're a diabetic and you believe that to be a concern you'd be best served speaking to a doctor about it.

    EDIT:

Beer (standard beer) has ~15mg of sodium per serving, mostly from the water, and that's less than 1% of your daily allowance of sodium.

  3. Is it just swollen or is their pain?

Could be gout if the later.

  4. that mean don't drink

  5. I think you should switch to fewer drinks overall. ( sorry) Alcohol and diabets do not mix. The body metabolises sugar from anywhere it can get it. I would talk to you doctor about the legs swelling, many diabetics lose limbs because they are not careful. hard liquor is even worse for you.

  6. You need to speak to your physician about that. Beer has lots of sodium.
