Why is one pupil smaller?

Question

I have had blurred vision,headache,sore eyes and sore neck for a week,had a vision exam with vision 20/80 and 20/100 with my contacts in and nearly blind without this happened after take prednisone.One pupil is smaller then the other any ideas?

What's with the fuzzy vision? Has your head bumped into something or come into collision. There may be damages on either side of your brain.

If you're a young female, and especailly if you're carrying a few extra pounds, then I'd have a serious worry about intracranial hypertension. I'm not saying you definitely need a CT scan and lumbar puncture, but you need to see a doctor quickly and find out if you do. If the pupillary difference is only a millimeter, it may have been there all along. Look at an old photo, even the one on your driver's license, if you must, but that would make a full neurologic evaluation even more urgent if it isn't known to be old.

In some cases people can have slight differences in the size of their pupils as a normal variation, but this can also be evidence of something more serious.  I'd strongly advise you to get to an emergency room very soon to have a physician evaluate your complaints.  Blurred vision, headache and anisocoria (different sized pupils) can all be signs of increased pressure around your brain which can become a very serious problem very quickly.  I'm not trying to be an alarmist, and there may be other explanations for your symptoms, but it isn't possible to make such determinations over the internet.  With several potentially serious problems as explanations, again I would recommend getting to an ER now.  If it all possible, I'd recommend not driving yourself, as well.
