who ever thought it was a good idea to pay money you dont have and then ened up owing more than you spent over a never ending cycle of stupidity!!?!!? i had to go to three banks before i could open an account that didnt require a credit card for identification purposes.... cause apparently a liscense, a social security card and mail wasnt enough!!!

i cant verify my age online without a credit card.

I cant purchase a house without a credi card.

i cant purchase a new car without a credit card.

what ever happened to saving and paying for things with money that you have?

I'm only on this right now because i've been getting flak from some folks about not having a credit card. (AND NEVER WILL!!!!)

but it seems like without one i am a second class citizen who people dont trust. i dont understand what the problem is with refusing to owe someone. I think its dishonest and have an ethical problem with it. i wouldnt sign my life, future profits, debt over to anyone.

but because of that i have to suffer ridicule and loss of privlages.

so can someone just explain to me why?

not about building credit or paying back loans etc... i want to know why the obsession with these stupid little iou cards, being more important culturally than anything else.

  1. I would like to suggest you get as much information as you could before taking action, here is a good place for that.http://car-loan.free-deal.info/free-car-...

  2. i am having the same problem right now. no joke. I signed up for this p**n forum to see if anyone on there could direct me to some good "by L*****n for L*****n" p**n... and when i mentioned that i want free sites because of my issues with credit cards (same as yours) i got all sorts of c**p with people calling me a kid and telling me to  "get your mommy to open you an account"

it pissed me off so bad.... hmm, girl i know how you feel.

it was all lame straight guys anyway... like the whole site had an A-Z list of pornstars and not one out of like 2000 was butch in the least.... its freaking retarded.

anyway, i totally get your problem. i dont have an answer though, i'll keep an eye onhere to see what people tell you.

  3. AMEN!!!!!

I am 31, never had a credit card, and like you i never will. My only loan is my FHA loan for my house which will be paid off five years from now. My father had to co sign because i did not have a cedit card!  I'd like to see people deny me now having paid off my house in 12 years!!!

I think that people now and days feel like they have a right to have stuff, no matter if they can pay for it or not!!  If i want something i save for it...simple as that.

Ya i don't understand this whole thing either.  People want to live above their means and will do whatever it takes to have it all.  Now the government is going to start to bail these people out of the messes they made for themselves.  Dumb..people are so DUMB!!!

Continue living the card free life and doesn't it feel good not to owe anything???

By the way i learned all of this from my dad. my parents cut up their credit cards in the mid 90's and my dad is now a financial councilor in his free time!!

  4. It's not so much that people are obsessed but unfortunately to ensure a bank that you can pay a house or a car loan you have to have established some type of credit which shows that you will not default. Not to mention, if you suddenly have a real expensive car repair and you don't have the 700 laying around, you can use your credit card.

If you don't like credit cards, don't apply for them. It seems to work for people who make smart purchases and really only use them for emergencies.
