Why is overfishing a significant issue?

  1. Because it decreases the populations of fish. Even if just one species of fish is overfished, it will affect many other species because that fish might be food for bigger fish. It can also affect us because if a fish we eat, such as tuna is overfished, it will become more rare and the price will go up.


  2. Because there is a point where if we overfish too much...we will decrease the population of this species to a point of no-return.    

    This is not how we plan to live in a sustainable Earth.
