  1. Because, they have a license and there is a difference between pornography and prostitution.

  2. For the same reason that you can star in p**n when you're 18, but can't buy it until you're 21: the law just makes no sense when it comes to s*x.

  3. I don't think prostitution is illegal but procuring a prostitute is.Pornography, unless it is under age p**n,is not illegal. The question as to why,is difficult as the laws in differ from country to country, even as to the age of sexual consent

  4. The reason prostitution is illegal, is that harm is caused through forced, poverty inflicted, or drug related s*x work where there is an imbalance of power.  In pornographic 'art' (lol) all performers are paid, and the director is legally forbidden from joining in the action.  Hard core pornography is still illegal in Britain.  Terrific question!  We draw some interesting lines, don't we?

  6. Very good point! Sometimes it because street level prostitution can become a dangerous thing. Sometimes it supports drug addicts. Sometimes its forced, a lot of girls are forced to work as prostitutes because they are down on their luck. But pornography is bad as well because it causes marital problems and and sometimes causes extremely unhealthy addictions.

  7. Yes, you are very logical & correct. This may be curbing this activity or discouraging it.
