  1. Cuz it's scarier then!

  2. Because between 1 and three AM our athmosphere is thicker (spiritually speaking) and our link to the other side is more tangible, most aparitions or manifestations are usually between those hours, sort of like the veil thins out and we can see beyond.

  3. Because it is easier for our minds to play tricks on us at night.

  4. Paranormal work was started by guys who found out that fear of ghosts caused their girlfriends to cling tightly to them.  In the daylight, the girls aren't afraid and the guys get no hugs, therefore, no daytime research.

  5. The best time to seek Paranormal activity, is the dead hour - (or witching hour) 3 am

  6. I've noticed that it seems that music sounds better at night.  Perhaps it  has something to do with the way the sun's electromagnetic rays do not hit the back side of the earth.  Perhaps in addition to making music sound better, it also makes the paranormal easier to detect.

  7. Because it's spooky, and spooky is what people want to watch on TV.

Regarding real-life ghost-hunters or paranormal investigators, from what I know they do their work day or night, but since most people work during the day, I'd guess that most work is done at night for that reason.

  8. Good question.

I do investigations, but have never found much difference in the paranormal activity from day to night. Its more of a logistical issue for me and yes, most of my investigations are conducted at night.

The reason is that many of the investigations I do are in public buildings. Eg Theatres, museums etc. I am asked to come in the evening or late at night because it will be closed to the public then, with minimal staff. This makes it easier to do the investigation uninterrupted, and also ensures a more thorough investigation.

Of the houses I have investigated many are in the evenings as well. Generally this is when the home owners are home from their jobs, so again that's just how it seems to work out for timing.

I am sure for TV shows they do it at night for the spook factor- that increases their ratings. It wouldn't be nearly so scary if it was on a beautiful summer day. :)

  9. if you are not afraid then it is not their your mind can trick you in the dark lock yourself in a white room for a few days it can do it there too

  10. good question,,what if the Paranormal being is scared of the dark....wouldn't they come out int the day

  11. If you mean TV it's so it can look spookier. If you mean real life. It's because paranormal investigators have school or work during the day.Remember, it's a hobby not a job.

  12. There are several reasons.  Practically, most investigators have full time jobs, so it is easier to do investigations at night.  Also, most normal noises (like the tv, radio, automobile traffic and kids up and playing around) are not so much at night.  And in alot of cases, the activity is reported by the client more so at night.  Some clients have a preference for a night time investigation because they do not want the neighborhood knowing that they might have a paranormal problem.

There is nothing better about night vs day.  If there is paranormal activity, it can happen at any time.

  13. Ive seen it done during the day too, I think if your talking about TV then they do it for the extra spook factor.

  14. Paranormal oddities tend to happen between 3-4 AM. This is so because 3 AM is the complete and total mockery of the time of Christ's birth.  This is why researchers and priests and such do their work in the AM.  They are more likely to rid the home of the spirit and even more likely to attract the spirit to them.

  15. I often wonder the same thing.  Why at night and, more importantly, why with the lights off?

The only plausible answer I can come up with is that in its darkness the night time provides a setting more fertile for spookiness.  Due to decreased visibility people are far more likely to see things that appear to be paranormal in nature.

  16. On TV maybe.    Personally from my experience spirits, are more active in the winter.   It does not matter if it is day or night.

  17. The rational assumption would be that most paranormal investigators have more free time during the night time hours (most have day jobs).

If I were an investigator, I would have to conduct mine after midnight ( I work second shift), and a third shift worker wouldn't have the time to do investigations  possibly from 6pm to 11pm (twilight hours) or in the daytime from a research angle.

It hasn't been proven that things that go bump in the night happen more frequent than at other times, but I guess there is less distraction during the 12am - 5am time slot for noticing them.

  18. To freak you out, and make you you believe some thin you already been programmed

  19. NUT JOBS. Paranormal work is done at night so it easier to hide the quakery behind it. This is not science it is a scam. All you do is prey on peoples fears. When investigations are done at night it is done to hide the truth and spread lies.

  20. Definetly

  21. i think that's the time when spirits often appear

  22. Well more paranormal activity happens at night. I know that sounds wierd but it seems to be kicked up by several things, phases of the moon, weather, Gravity, sun spots, all kinds of stuff. Paranormal doesn't always mean ghosts, it is just something that cannot be proven with science. But at night there is less going on as well which can kick up activity as well. So there are several reasons

  23. Paranormal events happen at all times of the day & night.  There is NO set time for an event to happens.  I personally, have had more activity in the day time hours.

I believe it is noticed more at night than it is during the day due to fact that we are much more quieter & at rest at night.  During the day we are filled with are day to day activities.

  24. The only reason I can think of for doing paranormal (in my case, healing) work at night is because there are fewer distractions when I'm not at my day jobs. I don't know what kind of evidence you're talking about.

Otherwise, I suppose it depends on what kind. I guess if you were chasing down a spirit that only was perceived at night, you might try going after it at night instead of waiting around for it 24 hours a day.
