Question:

Why is pasta not vegan?

i don't know what pasta is made from either.

  1. Fresh pasta often has eggs, but most dried pasta is vegan (except for egg noodles).  Read the labels.  You'll see it's almost always just flour and water.


  2. Most are vegan unless it is cheese or meat filled.  All Italian pastas I buy are made from whole wheat flour and water..that's it.

  3. Some pastas are made from egg, but many aren't. Rice pastas are vegan though...

  4. Pasta often contains eggs and eggs are from chickens.

  5. Most dry pasta IS vegan.  It's enriched semolina flour and water.

    Most fresh pasta is not vegans because it's made with eggs.

  6. some pastas have animal bi products in them... it can be a vegetarian meal, but not a vegan meal. vegans are very strict in what they eat...if the food or drink is or has anything in it that was ever part of a living thing, it cannot be eaten. like milk for example

  8. i never heard that ,pasta is made from wheat and if you ask me it is a bit extreme to not consider it vegan
