Well, It mixes sweet gooeyness with dry goodness, slap it on some moist white bread and you have a great meal. The bigger question is does the PB tickle the roof of your mouth when you eat it.

Besides tasting good together they do provide nutrition. The peanut butter is an excellent source of protein and even though some jelly is full of sugar, it is a fruit and you do get some fruit benefit. Of course I always select the low sugar versions.



Good news! Peanut butter is good for you! It contains protein, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates. Two tablespoons of peanut butter has as much protein as an egg or a glass of milk. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich eaten with some fruit and a glass of milk is a very nutritious meal

It's not. The different enzymes needed to digest the fruit from the jelly and the protein from the pb collide and neutralize each other, causing digestion of neither substances to occur therefore leaving the food to rot in your gut while you experience flatulence bloating and other digestion discomfort.

It just is.....the sweetness of the jelly and the saltiness of the peanut butter is just good together.
