Why is peekvid in beta?

Beta refers to an early version of a program that is unstable and not ready for release. Programs that are in the Beta stage generally are used in a test environment, where users or programmers can submit issues to the developer to make improvements. Once the improvements are made and the bugs worked out the product comes out of the Beta stage for all to use.

  Im not quite sure what part of peekvid is being upgraded. It is probably safe to say that since it is in the Beta stage the updates or upgrade will be extensive...
