If a service guy is clean, cleans up after himself, is well groomed, nice but an average tech makes a mistake, the client will say something like "oh well, everyone makes mistakes"

The guy that rolls up with a 2 day growth of beard, leaves a mess, cusses up a storm, but is an exceptional tech with 25 years experience makes a mistake, the client will say something like "that slob mother father didn't know what the h**l he was doing!"

personal grooming is the first impression of a business first of all. Who wants to go to a restaurant and see a smelly dirty unkept person serving food or any type of product. Secondly  business knowledge is relevant because if you are going to work in a business you should have an understanding of how it works and what it takes to make your paycheck possible.
