How is the food produced by photosynthesis made available to us? How does photosynthesis benefit the environment, society and economy? Also I know that plants absorb sunlight, but does this reduce the heat energy in the air?

  1. Photosynthesis, is a process of making plants' sugar, contains two main process : light reaction and calvin cycle

On light reaction, chlorophyll absorbs photon from sunlight, absorbing its energy and uses it to make energy and water. It does reduce heat in the air, because it absorbs energy. (If you live in tropical countries, you'll feel the difference between standing at the grass field and standing under a big green tree at dry season)

The next process, the Calvin cycle, is the making of one sugar molecule with the help of carbondioxyde from the air and energy produced from the light reaction. This sugar molecules distributed to every part of plants, mainly on the sugar sink.

So, if we eat food which produced from plants, we eat those sugar molecules. Without those molecules, there will be no food.

Meats we had eaten all the time comes from animals which eat those plants or from animal which eat other animal which eat those plants. If the animals ate the plants, plants' energy automatically absorbed by the animals, but just a few. So, if you want maximum nutrition, you must directly eat food from plant sources.

    Photosynthesis benefit the Environment :

reducing global heat by absorbing carbondioxyde (I've told you before, and that's why we have to plant many trees to anticipate with the global warming) and keeping the abundance of carbon cycle

    Society :

giving us food and fresh air

    Economy :

giving people food to sell, recycle industrial waste by photosynthesis

  2. photosynthesis is a way for plants to convert light, water and CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) into energy for itself. This aids society as the products released back into the atmosphere include Oxygen, so quite simply the plants are filtering/recycling our air. And from what i know, it doesn't release heat energy into the air.
