unlike mcdonalds, pizza takes time to make, kinda like making bread, its not like its frozen(depending on the type of pizza you're eating) it has a pretty long process, thats why you tend to wait almost half an hour for a pizza =)

Little Caesar's always sells a large cheese and pepperoni pizza for $5.00.  I think the deep dish is $7.00 and the meat lovers is $8.95.  They're really the best deal around.

I think they factoring the price of all the toppings (sauce costs X amount, then cheese costs X amount etc.)

If you ever try making pizza at home, keep track of the cost of your ingredients.  I can make two large pizzas at home for about $10, or I can order them from Papa John's for about $20.  Since most restaurant foods cost twice as much as it costs for the ingredients to make them at home, it's not really unreasonable.

Maybe the reason it seems so expensive for you is that one pizza is designed to feed more than one person, so you're paying for everyone's meal in one lump sum, or buying several meals for yourself at one time.

Because the cost of chesse has went up and food prices have went up 6%  all together, and if you get meat, that is expensive too, and you have to hire people to make it ext. I know its getting pricey

Pizza isn't that bad! Little Caesars has Hot-N-Ready's for like $5 .. and if you just want a slice, you can go to some pizza joints like the ones we have downtown here and get HUGE slices for two bucks.

The produciton cost of making a pizza ranges from 26 cents to 58cents depending on the pizza, you also have to factor in the hidden cost like electricity, location rent, employees, etc. still the cost is low. $3 range. The rest is all marketing and another thing we like to call convenience.
