Why is planning a philosophy?

Implied within the meaning of planning is a DIFFERENTIATION.  This is the major component to generate a philosophical process.  Planning isn't necessarily a philosophy, but it requires a way of thinking which is somewhat philosophical.

Planning requires that we differentiate our daily tendency to live in the present in order to engage in an effort to affect a particular future.

This is what the early Greek philosophers did.  They differentiated humankind from nature and religion.
