Fact: Kathleen Blanco was governor, Raymond Nagin was mayor and they both are Democrats. They both refused to allow the national guard to be sent in before the storm to help evacuate the people and if Bush had over ruled them, he would have been impeached under the Posse Comatatis Act, which prevents the President from sending the Military into a local (domestic) area against the wishes of the governor of that state, even in cases of emergency..

Yes, Bush wasn't perfect in his handling of Katrina either, but his hands were somewhat tied on what he could do.

My point is do we really want to trust a party who has prominent members delighting in the potential for massive loss of life on our own shores, running everything in this country. Beureaucrats are bankrupting social security, medicare and this country in general and yet one party wants to give them more control over our daily lives and the other major party does seem to have some members who are just as complicit in the bankrupting of America, by being democrat lites..

My question is why does the left delight in the potential for massive loss of life on our own shores, in hopes it will get them political power?

The Dems quest for power sounds eerily like a page out of Josef Stalin's book.
