  1. Because you would have been able to deduct it from tax !

more dependants ,more medical bills and schoolfees !

  2. I know a guy who has two wives and one white and one black and he bought houses for them in separate town in South Africa.  Jacob Zuma has so many wives and kids.  I think it's allowed for traditional marriage.  In Swaziland there's no problems! The king Mswati has 10 wives.

  3. Beats me too, what do you call it when a woman can marry more than one husband? Is there even a word for it? We should make an submission to parliament, I want at least 4 husbands, that would be really very nice. Imagine how I would get spoiled!

  4. Not a bad Idea ! Then we can build a new nation .

  5. I don't agree with either  - it is unnatural, but is is their choice to live the way they want to

  6. Are you isane, people like you need some church.

  7. I have no clue, I would love 2 be with a man who has 4 other wives and 15 children. I would be the rebel of the bunch! I would ask the other wives if they would like 2 join us in bed! lol.

  8. It isn't against the law after the promulgation of the Recognition of Customary Marriages Act, which I think was enacted in 1998 if I am not mistaken. This allows polygamous marriages as long as they are by virtue of African Customary Rights. One has to apply to court for this to be recognised.

If a court grants an application of this sort,  the Registrar or Clerk of the Court, as the case may be, must furnish each spouse with an order of the Court including a certified copy of such contract and must cause such order and a certified copy of such contract to be sent to each Registrar of Deeds of the area in which the court is situated.

Oddly enough, muslim and other religious polygamous marriages are still not recognised by South African Law though, neither are those of any other individuals not married by traditional african rites.
