  1. He's the prince guess what perks come with that job.  No there won't be any firings it isn't uncommon for military to use something like this for royalty.  He isn't going to get thrown out.  Sorry you are just going to have to deal with it.

  2. He used the chopper durng training and asked if he could practie landing there as you have to know how to land in other places other than airfields to qualify to be a pilot.

  3. Apparently, Prince William was defended by Britain's Ministry of Defence Sunday after landing a Royal Air Force helicopter at his girlfriend's house during a training session. The MoD said the exercise was an agreed part of his training as an RAF pilot and gave him the chance to practice a skill essential to flying in combat zones.

The latest landing on April 3 had been "fully authorized." According to the news, battlefield helicopter crews routinely practice landing in fields and confined spaces away from their airfields as a vital part of their training for operations.

These highly honed skills are used daily in conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan. It added that after the helicopter landed, it was on the ground for 20 seconds and no-one got on or off. The exercise was "a routine training sortie that achieved essential training objectives.

  4. I think the word PRINCE rather gives that away don't you. As for Dodi & Di. give it a rest love. The courts got this one right and believe it or not most of us are d**n well fedup hearing about it. Let it go like Dodi's father has. Let the boys be and let Britain get back to normality. You know, the time before Diana. Yeah she was beautiful but not the innocent abroad like people make out. Accidents happen (well actually they're caused ) but who caused this one was named and shamed by the judge who in my humble oppinion for once got it right.

  5. He's not!!! He was on an exercise at the time and had permission to land in a certain person's field.....for only 20 seconds then he took off again.

Hey Rebel......If you can't take some of the answers......get outa here......we all have "Free" Speech!!!!!!

Who do you want to replace the royals......Mugabe???

  6. Seeing that his gran is in charge I think he'll get away with it.

  7. mmmm answers its self

Royal Air Force (R.A.F) and the last i looked he is a royal so its his air force so its his helicopter

if you dont like it move out the country to some where the royals dont rule

  8. go away, moron!

  9. What do you mean 'for his own use'. The helicopter landed for 20 seconds and nobody got on or off, so how is that for his own use?

  10. I have a friend who is also in the RAF and wants to impress his friends by landing in an unused field near his council estate. Just 10 seconds, no one will get on or off. But the RAF said 'No'. Why???

  11. Maybe it is because he is second in line to the throne, a member of the royal family and therefore when flying a Royal Air Force helicopter he is in fact flying one of his grandmothers helicopters!

    xx

  12. Because nobody with any clout has the balls to say anything.

I think people forget, that we as taxpayers are paying for that. It cost us a lot of money for him to play "Budgie the Helicopter", and shows just how far away from real life he is.

The powers that be have said it was a part of a training mission. How can landing in somebodies "garden" be a training mission. He was flying a Chinook, you cant land that just anywhere.

It looks as if he is becoming a waste of space like his father.

  13. Personally I think its pretty cool what he did (not as you described it).  Buddy of mine wanted to show his parents his skills and shortly after he got his wings took a jet over his home town.  In a negotiated settlement he had to extend his enlistment by a year.
