  1. That is just more of an explanation of why the child does not move.  Honk your butt off.  He can't hear you.  Don't get angry.  Just beware because to the courts if you hit him, your butt is his forever...and every penny you make thereafter and you may never drive again.

  2. Are you serious?  The kid won't hear you, but YOU ARE AWARE of the situation, and therefore more safe.

  3. It is a warning that there are people nearby who may not hear your car and it is telling you to drive slower.

  4. The sign is there to warn you to be extra careful in that area, and watch out for the child(ren).  Children run out into the road sometimes, and a deaf child would not hear you coming or honking.

  5. its because a deaf child may not hear a car coming down the street, whether its music playing in youi cat or just the engine and could possibly run into the street without looking both ways first. on the other hand it is less likely that a child with hearing would run into the street after hearing a car driving down the street.

  6. To warn "YOU" that there are deaf children in the area.......
