Why is "God" pushed onto a secular nation?

When will we have currency and pledges without the word "god" in them? Honestly, we are Hippocratic secularists if we continue to allow this irresponsible injustice to go on.

There needs to be a bill passed that removes God from all secularist activities and assemblies. For instance government, school. currency, etc...

Who's with me. Is there already a protest about this? Please point me to a site or group of people. I wish to fight for me right of Secular government and community.

  1. I'm in a country that doesn't have this nonsense on our money or pressure to teach "creationism" in schools, but I'm with you

PS I think you  mean hypocritical)

  2. it's being pushed by a very loud, very obnoxious, very self-righteous group who completely misunderstand seperation of church and state, or understand it and want to squash it.

    Think "Christian Taliban"

  3. I just wish it was "Flying spaghetti monster".

Maars. Atheists are just trying to make things neutral. We don't want anything religious.

  4. Seriously.

The money has the words "In God We Trust" so the "Commies" would supposedly keep their hands off it. Learning that words don't affect who spends money any, and that "Commies" aren't a threat anyway, those words should be removed. Threat over. I know they're just words, but it makes us a hippocracy. Which simply isn't a very good stand for our national "intelligence".

We aren't aiming for an Atheist country-- just a country that doesn't enforce one religion's beliefs on everyone. We want people to have the freedom over their own lives and bodies without religious rule.

I am so tired of religious groups making laws against things like women getting genital piercings (which did happen in Georgia) because some groups find it "indecent". What a load of bull. I'll do what I want to my body-- after all, no one else has to live in it!

  5. Its just a word, ignore it.

In the UK the national anthem is 'God save the queen' but there's a large portion of us who either aren't christian or are of another faith, but that doesn't effect how our country works.

  6. Already in place, Amendment 1 of the Bill of Rights.

Woe to the nation whose God is not Lord!

  7. Atually, it's the secularists that are pushing their religion on everyone else. This country's dominant religion has always been Christianity. You've been watching too much Hollywood.

Here's a link to a list of all the people you claim were all deists:

It won't take too much HONEST research to find out that most of the founders were Christians. Yes, some of the prominant men WERE non-Christians, even though they had Christian upbringing and affiliations.

It is a disingenuous man who cannot pick up a history book and see that this nation has historically been a Christian one. No, there was not a divine covenant with God like that with Moses and the Israelites, but this was, historically, a Christian nation.

I don't know what makes you think this was not a Christian nation sionce it's beginnings. I am not talking at all about founding documents. I'm talking about people. Most people had some kind of Christian beliefs.

I do agree with you, though, that we cannot have anyone forced to participate in a rlegious activity they do not believe in. On the other hand, it is a little rediculous to say that religion should not be allowed in any way in public life.

  8. he doesn't do anything to us so he can't do anything bad, so i don't know why people do this i guess they're people who have nothing better to do.

  9. I've often wondered if their "God" is being "pushed" against "Gods'" will into the secular world.

Personally, I don't care, the money will spend with, or without, those words on the paper or metal. I have more important issues to be concerned with.

  10. You lucky I guess

  11. It's the other way around.  Atheism has been pushed onto a godly nation.  The atheists are trying to take over everything.

  12. Unless it's burning a hole through your hand, why should you care?

  13. I agree with you.

This ´´bible law´´ was in use in middle ages and i think, it served it´s purpose. THEN

At this day and age, it is, to put it lightly, way beyond it´s expiration date.

There was voting going on via NBC, CNBC on web,  for removal of ´´in god we trust´´ from our currency, but i think, it is over now
