Self love when it is emo driven can be your own worst enemy. It makes you look egotistical, better than other people, snobbish, rude, foolish and otherwise irrational. But that is your ego getting out of hand. Freud said the ego is the "executive" of the faculty of reason. It has to act like a responsible executive.

i get waht you are on about

it's because only you know the legend you are in your own mind. you jsudge yourself on waht you know you could be you judge others on what they have proven themselves to be. thus your opinion of yourself is best.

each man judges who others are by thier actions but you judge who you are not just by action but by what you think you would do, you judge yourself by your potential. So for example you know you would be a hero if given the chance so you give yourself credit for being the hero you know you could be, without ever having acted like a hero - but you only giving the same respect to those who have actually acted like a hero, not on their potential.
