    It is sanitised and made safe by the corporations that own it - and so is the music they play.

    Thank the Lord I live in Britain and can get Radio 4.

  4. well some radio is c**p yh but some is alright....if your that bothered why not make ur own radio show :) sounds like fun to me

Unfortunately between a loss of revenue thanks to satellite  and a total loss of "humans" doing the work, computers generate play lists based on top 40 charts and then computers automate the entire day.  In my opinion when they took the human element out it made it alot more stale and repetitve.  Some stations, FPR, talk, classic rock, still have segments than involve people,  but for corporate its alot cheaper to just have a computer pick what to play, and play it.
