Why is reading in a car bad for your eyes?

  1. I've never heard of this before.  When I was a little kid I would always read in the car on roadtrips.  However, I do wear contacts and I am very near sighted.  I wonder now if that could be due to always reading in the car.


  2. I do not think that reading is bad for your eyes. Some people get motion sickness from it, but not everyone does.

  3. I think the movement might mean you always have to keep re-focusing with the lens and straining the muscles in the eye. I dont think you'll go blind but it makes me feel sick badly!
