I have a Pyle 600W 2 channel amp hooked up to 2 10' Kenwoods. i have 4 gauge wires. The red protection light is on and I don't know why. I rechecked all my wiring and tested it with a multimeter and everything is fine. When i bypass my remote wire from the power terminal to the rem termial the amp will work fine. I dont want to keep it like this. It was working fine and the next time i turned it my car back on it didn't work. Any ideas on what's wrong with it?

  1. recheck your bypass source.

see if its getting a constant 12v or a similar voltage as the headunits' remote wire.

what i recommend customers to do is to connect their own "remote" wire to the ignition/acc fuse in the fuse box upfront. then run it to switch with a on/off.

so just run a long wire from the ign/acc fuse and add a 5a fuse close to it too just for protection in the new wire. then connect the wire to the switch that u will use to turn on/off where ever u want. then run the wire to the amp.

this will turn on only when the vehicle is on. its safe cus it will automatically turn off when the vehicle is off. also, allows u to have more control over the amp.
