Why is research important to our students?

  1. it helps them understand what that is going on around them. understand their world.it improves their knowledge cause not knowing much of what that is specifically going on around them can be really an ''um'' situation. if a teacher suggests a new material to a student they may not understand it but doing a little research may not hurt. its great to prove something is right cause you wanna knows the facts. its great to analyze something the right way.


  2. It gives them the ability to generate knowledge and get the answers to their questions in the future, thus being able to help themselves and become fully functioning adults.

  3. So they can fully understand what it is they're researching and they'll have other things to talk about so they won't be boring adults

  4. It helps prepare them for a job one day when they will not be merely listening to someone talk but will instead have to figure out, do, find, analyze, and manage on their own.

  5. I agree with everyone but also it gives students a chance to hear the same thing from another source.  Its one thing for a teacher to teach facts but when a student has to research and then is able to discover that what the teacher said was right, it will most likely stick.
