I know a lot of people have different political views but from the very beginning, I have been against America going into Iraq for many reasons like USA destroying stuff like buildings and peoples lives, despite on the political problems with Saddam Hussein.

Anyways, Saddam Palace is now the US Embassy, but why can't they just make it a museum or a government palace or something NOT related to the United States? Why can't they just create a US Embassy somewhere else, maybe even a more safe place?

  1. Do you read ...or just make stuff up?

  2. they use his place to stick to the rest. it's like when you beat the c**p out of your neighbor, then park your car in front of his house to sort of remind him about.

  3. PayBack

  4. You was against the war from the beginning you say but I have a feeling that you didn't even know where Iraq was located when the war started. As far as why they are using that building, the US. needed a building and that one was available..

  5. It was the right size, had built in security, was vacant (as were the other dozen or so), and the price was right.

  6. Because the money we(USA) contributed towards bringing him into power years ago, was used to build it.  So it's kind of like getting our rent money back.  Plus with all of the US currency, already there, millions of dollars,as we saw on the news, and then never heard about again, because then our government would have to answer for it, it was like already home.  Although, it would be interesting to fin out how many millions of dollars Haliburton charged to "count it"

  7. Actually, the US embassy is brand new.  It's not now, never was and never will be Saddam's palace.
